Role Purpose:

Responsible for the provision of support and guidance on project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques to programme managers, project managers and their teams. Ensures the use of project management software. Responsible for the development, production, and maintenance of plans (including time, resource, cost, and exception plans) as well as the tracking and reporting of progress and performance of one or more IT projects (including those performed by third parties under contract). Maintains programme and/or project files. May be representative on project quality review meetings. Responsible for the analysis of performance and the maintenance of metric data and estimating models. Responsible for day-to-day organisation and administration of the project office. Responsible for ensuring that project timesheets are processed timeously, and that costs are correctly allocated to projects. Regularly revises and distributes project schedules and budgets. Develops, interprets, and produces data on project plans and performance. Responsible for all filing and organizes project meetings, and takes and distributes minutes of project meetings

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree/ Diploma in Business Analysis
  • Deemed Industry Experience

Experience

  • 1 to 4 years’ experience as a Project Administrator or Project Manager, focusing on delivering technology-driven solutions. End-to-end project involvement in delivery and accountability thereof would be advantageous.
  • Worked in a multi-project environment.
  • Knowledge and experience within the employee benefits or financial services environment are advantageous.
  • Running JAD sessions
  • Reporting to management on project progress and timelines

Knowledge

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the project framework and deliverables
  • Sound knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Understanding and experience with the Omni FIS system are advantageous.

Responsibilities and work outputs

General Administration

  • Adhere to company group policies.
  • Respond to and update support tickets and project-related tickets.
  • Submit timesheets daily.

Financial management

  • Prepare and provide input to estimates for work orders/quotations.
  • Track expenses and work on budget forecast

Supervision

  • May be responsible for staff supervision and mentoring.

Teamwork

  • Knowledge or project management, flowcharts, technical documentation

  • Understands the requirements of Change Control.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 principles, and other ISO’s as they are adopted
  • Liaises with a customer representative and acts as the consultant interface between the customer, developer, IT.
