Position Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring the correct quantity of hardware is received from suppliers and correct processing of GRV’s and capturing on SAP.  Ensure merchandise is secured safely and delivered to internal or external Customers. Manage the delivery of merchandise bought from third party vendors and shipped directly to other countries.

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Stock Controller diploma preferable

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a stock control role

Other Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

Role / Responsibilities:

RECEIVING OF HARDWARE

Tasks

  • Ensure correct quantity and quality of hardware is received from suppliers against the purchase order
  • Inspect delivered parts to ensure no damages and report any missing or damaged parts to supplier
  • Process supplier invoice into SAP, raise GRV before submitting to Finance for payment
  • Ensure correct labelling of stock before storing in warehouses

 

LOCAL DELIVERIES

Tasks

  • Receive sales order, raise a delivery note in SAP and schedule delivery to Customer or supplier
  • Supervise accurate loading of deliveries, returns, repairs and supplier collections against delivery note or claims
  • Ensure Customer satisfaction by delivering on time and informing sales / projects of any delays
  • Receive signed delivery or collection note back from courier

SHIPPING

Tasks

  • Receive email notification from Remedy, with required delivery details, to ship stock to either an international or local Customer
  • Assist Tier 2 engineers with the setup for stock configuration
  • Prepare stock for shipping, book stock with DHL or Fedex, raise a waybill and arrange for pickup by the couriers
  • Track stock until delivered to the end Customer and resolve any queries immediately
  • Once stock is delivered, obtain signed Proof of Delivery (POD) from Courier, and submit to Customer for confirmation of their receipt of stock

ADMINISTRATION AND STOCK SECURITY

Tasks

  • Plan and conduct end to end stock takes on a monthly basis
  • Ensure all security standards are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure compliance to health and safety in the warehouse
  • Provide feedback on weekly basis with regards to ageing stock for projects
