Enterprise Architect – Networking (Contract)

Position Summary and Position Objectives

The primary objective of this position is to develop and deliver solutions for harvesting the value and extending the life of the clients’ existing IT assets in order to decrease their costs, improve business flexibility and stability and respond to changing business requirements. This employee will provide enterprise – architecture consulting services to clients, analysing client needs and defining holistic strategies and solutions on all aspects of Consulting Services (CS) Enterprise Architectural requirements.

The CS Enterprise Architect links the business mission, vision, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an integrated, efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.

The CS Enterprise Architect will engage with business and IT leaders and assist them in making investment decisions that balance and prioritise current operational demands, disruptions and opportunities with the longer term strategic vision of the organisation. They are able to integrate and align the business direction (operations and strategy) and apply CS Enterprise Architecture to lead the client’s business forward.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in a consulting and IT role within a large scale (preferably multi- national) Networking technology services environment
  • Qualification in Technology and/or Business Management (MBA would be advantageous)
  • TOGAF Certification, CMMI and other similar credentials would be valuable

Experience

  • A good understanding of the vast range of IT operations and company service offerings, specifically Networking for this role
  • Deep knowledge of industry verticals, i.e. manufacturing, public sector, financial services
  • Proven client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management
  • Proven experience in integrating the solution for the particular project with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns, and best practices
  • Business development experience would be advantageous
